Contemplative Photography: Seeing Fresh
5 week class
Thursdays, 6:30 – 9 pm, starting June 1 – 29, 2017
Learn what great photographers have always known. Strong images start with clearing your mind of preconceived notions to see the world with fresh eyes. Each week we will work with an aspect of visual perception; color, texture, light, space and form in innovative ways. Whether photography is your hobby, art media or you use it as a starting point for painting or drawing, this class will change the way you see the world. Suitable for all levels of experience and equipment. You can even take pictures in this class with your mobile phone! It is about training your eyes to see, not just about learning technical aspects of the equipment. Clear perception leads to clear and strong images.

Testimonials from former students
“Rebekah is a very special teacher. She is kind, thoughtful and insightful while sharing new information and ways of seeing and being. In the classes I have taken I found she is able to create a safe enriching experience that fosters exceptional growth for everyone involved.”
“Thank you for the wonderful photography classes. I started with a camera I had never used to one I now feel comfortable with. I was a little skeptical about “Seeing Fresh.” but that too turned out wonderful. Now I just have to apply it to my drawing and painting. I am thinking of continuing the photography, however, and using it as a vehicle for the painting and drawing. Thanks so much!”
“I loved seeing everyone else’s work and talking about our experiences. The instructions were excellent.”
“This class challenged me to go beyond preconceived ideas & move into the process. Many “aha” moments. Much fun with fellow students and Rebekah.”
“This class helped me to step back and look deeper at how I take photos. It should be a huge help in the future.”
“It was fun, friendly and I really did learn to look at things closer and differently.”
“Rebekah is very patient and interested in genuine learning. The class gave me new perspectives and taught me to pay attention to experience rather than ‘take’ the picture.”
“I enjoyed seeing others’ work and gentle critiquing that helped me understand what I was seeing.”
“This class exceeded my expectations. I learned a lot through material taught by the instructor, as well as, through the exercises each week.”
Check it out for yourself. I guarantee you will see more and feel more confident in your skills as a photographer.
