Treat yourself to two days of knitting and meditation practice in the quiet and luxurious setting of Kismet Inn, located in the heart of historic Bath. Rebekah will lead participants through a series of mindfulness exercises to quiet the mind and heighten awareness to enhance your experience of knitting and the richness of the world around you. Using the repetitive motions of knitting one can enter a meditative state of awareness, returning again and again to the sensations of executing the stitch. She will discuss how you can bring this awareness into your selection of fiber, color and garment shape incorporating your perceptions of the world around you into your knitting practice. Side trips to Halcyon Yarns, Younger Knits Studio and Maine Fiberarts to visit a few of the many fiber resources in midcoast Maine will be part of the weekend. Then return to Kismet Inn for a gourmet organic dinner and curl up by the fire to knit into the evening with other knitting enthusiasts.
